Becoming A Teacher

Teaching is a fundamental profession in our society. It is transformative, both for the learners that teachers inspire but also for professionals themselves. We are excited to share with you opportunities to train to teach in our sub-region.

Our next joint recruitment event is to be held on Wednesday 22nd March 4:30-6:30pm at Staffordshire University’s Catalyst Building, Leek Road, Stoke on Trent, ST4 2DF. More details and how to book can be found here.

Please watch the videos below to find out why some of our teachers were attracted to teaching as a career.

Please watch the student videos below to find out more about teaching and the positive impact this has.

BTSA have kindly provided to SSTEC some further videos outlining further details about themselves, their hub sessions and placements. For further information, please visit the BTSA website at: www.btsa.org.

If you have questions about specific training programmes, please contact the providers directly via their websites shared in the resources section below. We will all be pleased to help.
